DJ Jazzy Jeff got me started at age 8. After buying the Rock The House cassette and listening all the time, followed by dubbing He’s The DJ, I’m The Rapper from a friend, I was into hip-hop: rapping, beats, beatboxing. I picked up Tone Loc and Young MC, both produced by the Dust Brothers, and I was off to a good start. For the rest of my life, my ears would be tuned to recognizing and collecting the breaks and sounds used on these albums. It took me 20 years to discover the roots of some tracks. Since age eight I have been fascinated with the art of combining existing sounds into a new cohesive whole.

I make remixes, reinterpreting old favorites with new backing tracks. I make extended mixes, weaving songs in and out of each other, towards an end goal of elevating each original song through its new context. Active listens for active listeners. Elevate your music.
